Goerlitz
Charmed by Lusatia's gentle hilly landscape we arrive in Goerlitz, an old and rich trading town on the river Neisse, which seperates Polish Silesia and German Silesia. We may look forward to splendid late gothic and renaissance houses, the "Kaisertrutz" remermbering the Thirty Years' War, Frauenkirche Church, the grand Town Hall, the amazing Art-Nouveau Big Store and the cityscape dominating St. Peter's and Paul's Church - one of the most superb hass churches throughout Saxony. We will also visit a copy of the Holy Sepulcher, called "Heiliges Grap" and donated by a Goerlitz' mayor "for his sins' penitence".
Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum and Léa Seydoux were here - why not YOU?
A Gorlitz visit is best to combine with Bautzen.
