Silver Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge)

The Silver Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) not only offer the world wide known wooden crafts like the nutcracker. Based on the rich silver mines this old cultural landscape involves a number of wonderful churches and cathedrals. We will visit the most beautiful ones. In Annaberg we will stand still in the Annenkirche church, amazed by the filigree arches and the impressive vaulted ceiling evoking an ocean of flowers.

In Freiberg we will visit a wood work artist and the famous cathedral with the wonderful "Tulip Pulpit" and the Romanesque "Golden Portal". As a highlight and the finale of the cathedral tour we will listen to the formidable "Silbermann Organ". On the tracks of the Silbermann organ builders we will return to Dresden.
