Time Travel with Marie Aurora of Königsmarck (1662 - 1728)
The beautifully radiant and highly civilized countess was the first mistress of August the Strong. The famous Maurice de Saxe (1696 - 1750), Marshal of France, was born in consequence of this liaison. As well, she was the great-grandmother of George Sand (Aurore Lucie Dupin, 1804 - 1876), a famous French authoress, enfant terrible and Chopin's ladyfriend.
She contrives cleverly to keep her well-respected status on the court and to save her privileges even after the liaison with August the Strong was broken. She kept in cordial touch with August and his court to her end. Voltaire who was her pen friend characterized her as "the most beautiful Lady of two centuries".
